Society makes us think that we should be excited for the holiday period however for our cohort, the holidays can bring a level of anxiety.
A person’s care experience is influenced by the way they are treated as a person, and by the way they are treated by their practitioner.
My primary role has always been a Special Education teacher. I have dealt with many practitioners, therapists, doctors and support workers who have had great ideas and strategies on effective positive behaviour change.
I would like to think of myself as someone who has empathy. I tend to get into conversations with friends who are having issues relating to someone and I am always saying ‘maybe they are thinking with a different perspective?’
